  中國文化英語演講稿 1

Hello everyone, today i want to say something about chinese traditional culture .our chinese nation, with its industriousness and wisdom, has created a long andover-lasting history and a rich and colorful culture.as a chinese,we are supposedto understand the traditional culture and realize its importance.first, what’s the traditional chinese culture .traditional chinese culture includes material and moral products of ancient chinese people. the moral products involve confucianism, taoism, legalism, buddhism and social system. material ones include historic and cultural relics, ancient architectures etc.no matter how broad chinese culture is, the core of it is the moral. therefore.we can get an answer to another question.why should we learn chinesetraditional culture,or we can say what’s the value of chinese traditional culture.

as the core of chinese traditional culture is the moral, it can help us solve three major problems we are facing nowadays:problems of survival between man and nature;crisis of confidence between man and society;psychological problems exist in people ourselves. for example, confucius believed that persuit of fortune is a general desire of human, but it most be limited by morality.

people live for morality but not for fortune, and only in this way does life have value. if all the people in the society can realizethis ,horse storm would not appear.

  my view of culture globalization

as is known to all, kung fu panda 2 was shown recently and soon became a hot topic in china. surprisingly, this american film shows bright chinese images such as kungfu and panda. this is a good example of culture globalization. but there are two entirely

different attitudes towards it. some people think it demonstrates the increasing influence of chinese culture. others, however, incline to take the opposite point of view and regard it as an invasion of native culture resources. as for me, i tend to take an open attitude towards culture globalization. we can promote our own culture and meanwhile learn form other cultures, which is beneficial to all countries. finally, it is important to note that each culture has its own characteristics. with the evolving trend of culture globalization,

we should be responsible for the development and spread of our national culture tradition.

ladies and gentlemen:it’s my honor to stand here and make a speech. my topic is “chinese tea culture”.do you know the name of the three most famous drinks in the world? they are tea , coffee and cocoa. china is the homeland of tea which has become the national drink. in other words, tea is basically spread out from china. referring to chinese tea culture, it has several thousand years of history and can be traced back to the ancient times. then it was flourished in the tang dynasty and the song dynasty.at first, our ancients found tea make them excited, but they thought that drinking more would be destructive to the morals. as time went by, tea became popular among likeminded people, confucianism, taoism, buddhism and cultivation culture. until tang dynasty, tea culture began taking shape. when it came to song dynasty, tea culture became thriving. when people migrated, they would offer tea.

when people engaged, they would send tea. when people got married, they would settle tea. tea became an important part in their daily life.in china, the main varieties of tea are green tea, black tea, oolong tea, scented tea, white tea, yellow tea and dark tea. in the early days, the chinese boiled their tea leaves with water and other ingredients such as salt and ginger; later they ground the dried leaves to a powder and whipped them up with hot water. it was not until that ming dynasty that it became common practice to infuse the loose tea leaves in hot water in teapots, and then to pour the infused liquid into bowls to drink. nowadays, we make different tea in different particular ways. over the centuries, china developed an extraordinary tea culture, comparable with the wine culture of the west.tea not only has a good flavor but also benefit to our body, so it is loved by many people home and abroad. different kinds of tea have different function which makes a contribution to our health. for example, the national drink of china-green tea, can dispel the effects of alcohol, clear away summer-heat, refresh yourself and whiten your skin. the second largest kind of tea-black tea, can warm your stomach, be good for your heart and make your bones stronger. dark tea can refresh you in the morning, reduce your blood press and help lose weight. oolong tea is good for your body building and dieting. in all, tea have great medicinal value, anti-cancer, lowering blood pressure, improving eyesight and restraining disease, reducing stress and so on.tea culture and its development reflect not only diet culture, but also chinese spiritual features.china is a country with a time-honored civilization and a land of ceremony and decorum. whenever guests visit, it is necessary to make and serve tea to them. before serving tea, you may ask them for their preferences as to what kind of tea they fancy and serve them the tea in the most appropriate teacups. in the course of serving tea, the host should take careful note of how much water is remaining in the cups and in the kettle.

usually, if the tea is made in a teacup, boiling water should be added after half of the cup has been consumed; and thus the cup is kept filled so that the tea retains the same bouquet and remains pleasantly warm.tea culture plays an indispensable role in promoting the international cultural exchange between china and other countries, enriching chinese cultural life and promoting chinese spiritual civilization construction. in conclusion, tea culture is one of the essences of chinese culture in the history. the spirit of tea permeates the court and society, into the chinese poetry, painting, calligraphy, religion, medicine. for thousands of years china has not only accumulated a great deal about tea cultivation, production of material culture, but also accumulated rich spirit of the tea culture, which is unique to chinas tea culture.thank you!

the term “shan zhai” has been very popular nowadays. it has been widely used no matter in daily life or on the internet. “shan zhai” has attracted much attention from mass media, academic scholars and common people. it has been hotly discussed on the network, reported in cctv’s national news program “xin wen lian bo”, and even proposed in two conferences. “shan zhai” versions have crazily emerged in our life, such as “shan zhai” cellular phones, “shan zhai” hot stars, “shan zhai” spring festival gala, tec.

but what is the “shan zhai” culture exactly? it’s copying culture which copycats things straight from the originals. and today i would like to talk about “shan zhai” products. to begin with, i believe “shan zhai” products are the knock-off goods escaping from the government’s supervision. therefore, it’s a kind of infringement of intellectual property rights. as a citizen, we should strengthen our legal consciousness. from ourselves, from not encourage “shan zhai” products by buying it. if you buy it, that means you support those people who break the laws.

secondly, the quality of “shan zhai” products is spotty and the after-sale service cannot be guaranteed. as a consumer, it’s wise for us to take many factors into consideration, not just the low price. “shan zhai” products, for example, some “shan zhai” electronic products which usually machines by smalls industries, let alone doing products testing. so the quality and safety problems emerge easily. sometimes, lose more than your gain.

thirdly, “shan zhai” culture strikes the real innovation, and the regular firms are particularly badly hit by the falling sales. in 2014, the output of “shan zhai” cell phones in china amounted to 150 million, merely even to the phones’ total sales in domestic market, which led to the huge losses of many national brands. meanwhile, it strikingly obstacles the creativity and abet the wind of copycat. thus, it gets rise to the market confusion. last but not least, “shan zhai” products damage chinese brand image, and our products impress people a feeling of low price and poor quality. even though, some foreigners tend to feel unreliable to “made in china”, this is a serious impediment to chinese economic development.

in a word, we should take a longer term look rather than be keen on gaining petty advantages. what’s more, as far as i am concerned, aggressive innovation is the only way out for chinese products.

The Chinese people, in their drinking of tea, place much significance on the act of "savoring." "Savoring tea" is not only a way to discern good tea from mediocre tea, but also how people take delight in their reverie and in tea-drinking itself. Snatching a bit of leisure from a busy schedule, making a kettle of strong tea, securing a serene space, and serving and drinking tea by yourself can help banish fatigue and frustration, improve your thinking ability and inspire you with enthusiasm.

You may also imbibe it slowly in small sips to appreciate the subtle allure of tea-drinking, until your spirits soar up and up into a sublime aesthetic realm. Buildings, gardens, ornaments and tea sets are the elements that form the ambience for savoring tea. A tranquil, refreshing, fortable and neat locale is certainly desirable for drinking tea. Chinese gardens are well known in the world and beautiful Chinese landscapes are too numerous to count. Teahouses tucked away in gardens and nestled beside the natural beauty of mountains and rivers are enchanting places of repose for people to rest and recreate themselves.

China is a country with a time-honored civilization and a land of ceremony and decorum. Whenever guests visit, it is necessary to make and serve tea to them. Snacks, sweets and other dishes may be served at tea time to plement the fragrance of the tea and to allay ones hunger.

Chinese Spring Festival, also called Lunar New Year, has more than 4,000 years of history. Being one of the traditional Chinese festivals, it is the grandest and the most important festival for Chinese people. It is also the time for the whole families to get together, which is similar with Christmas Day to the westerners. Originating during the Shang Dynasty (about 17th - 11th century BC), Spring Festival, which celebrates family reunion, is full of rich and colorful activities, and hopes with theadventof spring and flowers blossoming. People from different regions and different ethnic groups celebrate it in their unique ways.

It comes on the first day of Chinese lunar calendar and lasts for almost half of a month. But in folk custom, this traditional holiday lasts from the 23rd day of the twelfth month to the 15th day of the first month (Lantern Festival) in the lunar calendar. Among these days, the New Year’s Eve and the first day of the New Year is the peak time. The exact days are different in every year according to the lunar calendar.

It is said that the custom of Spring Festival started in when people offered sacrifice to ancestors in the last month of Chinese lunar calendar. At that time, people prepared the sacrifice by doing thorough cleaning, having bathes and so on. Later, people began to worship differentdeitiesas well on that day. It is the time that almost all the farm works were done and people have free time. The sacrificing time changed according to the farming schedule and was not fixed until the Han Dynasty (202BC-220AD). The customs of worshipping deities and ancestors remains even though the ceremonies are not as grand as before. It is also the time that spring is coming, so people held all kinds of ceremonies to welcome it.

Preparing the New Year starts 7 days before the New Year’s Eve. According to Chinese lunar calendar, people start to clean the house on Dec. 24, butcher on Dec. 26th and so on. People have certain things to do on each day. These activities will end Jan. 15th of the lunar calendar.

Every family does a thorough house cleaning and purchases enough food, including fish, meat, roasted nuts and seeds, all kinds of candies and fruits, etc, for the festival period. Also, new clothes must be bought, especially for children. Red scrolls with complementary poetic couplets, one line on each side of the gate, are pasted at every gate. The Chinese character Fu is pasted on the center of the door and paper-cut pictures adorn windows.

The Spring Festival is a start for a new year, so it is regarded as theomenof a year. People have many taboos during this period. Many bad words related to “death”, “broken”, “killing”, “ghost” and “illness” or “sickness” are forbidden during conversations. In some places, there are more specific details. They consider it unlucky if thebarrelof rice is empty, because they think they will have nothing to eat in the next year. Taking medicine is forbidden on this day, otherwise, people will have sick for the whole year and take medicine constantly.

Food during this happy event has its characteristics, which is the representative of Chinese festival food culture. Dumplings and the reunion dinner are indispensable at this time. Cold and hot dishes are all served. Fish is always an important dish then, which expresses people’s hope of having a wealthy year.

In China, different places have their own traditions and activities to celebrate the Spring Festival. Beijing, Guangzhou, Xian and Pingyao are some good places to go if one intends to come during the time period. If one does not want to travel so long, but still want to enjoy the atmosphere of Chinese New Year, the local Chinatown is the best place.

good afternoon,Ladies and gentlemen .The title of my speech is " The development of traditional culture " :

The 21st century has started a new history .Great changes have taken place in the world because of the prosperous development of technology and science .Maybe some of you have noticed that more and more people around us have started to learn a second language besides English .But maybe you will ask me “Isn’t it a good thing ” No ,absolutely not .It certainly meets the objective request of the economic globalization .But while we accept the western culture, some of us lost themselves in the ‘cultural sea’.The terrible ending will makes us lose our own traditional culture .So ,the cultural globalization which is caused by economic globalization may be harmful to our country’s scientific development.

As is well known to all ,culture is the pillar of science .But under the situation of globalization ,there are two extreme phenomena .One is some people call Mr West ’ .They accept western culture without any judgement ,and they don’t care whether it is good or not .For instance ,maybe someone has found that western festivals are more and more popular such as VALENTINE’S DAY.At the same time ,Chinese traditional festivals are fading away in our memories .we can’t image how a country could develop with its own culture lost.Well ,another is called ‘ Mr Old ’ ,in the contrary ,they refuse to accept any other cultures ,they blame that cultural globalization is a disaster .To our surprise ,they absolutely don’t know that exchanging culture can advance the development of science and technology .
